Join Forma.ai as a Staff Back End Engineer to enhance our data platform and backend services. You'll work on complex systems and mentor other engineers while driving architectural improvements.

Details

Toronto, Canada, work from office
Significant experience designing and building complex backend systems
Expertise in at least one production-grade backend language (e.g., Python, Java, Kotlin, Go)
Strong foundation in relational schema design, data modelling, and SQL

Design and evolve backend services that power product workflows
Architect data models representing hierarchical & graph structures
Drive architectural decisions balancing extensibility, performance, and operational simplicity
Mentor engineers across levels to raise backend engineering standards
