Job description

Gain practical experience in a small animal practice through a structured externship program. Work alongside veterinary professionals while developing your skills in patient care and communication.

Details

  • St. Augustine, FL, in-person
  • $250 stipend per week
  • 2 to 8 weeks duration, typically 2-3 weeks
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited DVM program

The work

  • Gather patient histories and perform physical examinations
  • Develop diagnostic and therapeutic plans under supervision
  • Assist in surgeries and manage medical cases
  • Produce appropriate medical records (SOAPs)
