Join the ACLU's Criminal Law Reform Project as a Staff Attorney, Senior Staff Attorney, or Senior Counsel to advocate for civil rights in the criminal justice system. This role involves litigation and collaboration to challenge systemic abuses and promote justice.

Details

  • New York, Washington DC, or San Francisco, in-office 2 days a week
  • Salary based on experience: $96,069 - $219,104 depending on years since law school graduation
  • J.D. degree required
  • Civil litigation experience required

The work

  • Litigate in state and federal courts, including drafting pleadings and conducting trials
  • Provide legal advice to local ACLU affiliates and partners
  • Collaborate with various ACLU departments on policy and advocacy
  • Engage in public education and media communications
