Job description

You will lead target discovery and preclinical development for Alzheimer's disease at Arc Institute in Palo Alto. This role involves building a new team and collaborating with various scientific disciplines to advance drug discovery efforts.

Details

Palo Alto, onsite required at least four days a week
$263,500 to $325,500 base salary, plus annual discretionary bonus
PhD in neuroscience, immunology, cell biology, genetics, pharmacology, or related field
Extensive experience in neurodegeneration target discovery

The work

Build a new team for drug discovery and preclinical programs
Guide programs through lead optimization and proof of concept data generation
Lead target discovery translating genetic and disease mapping findings into therapeutic targets
Collaborate with computational biology and machine learning teams for target validation
