Job description

Join the ACLU as a Summer Legal Intern in the Criminal Law Reform Project, working in New York or Washington, DC. Gain hands-on experience in legal research and advocacy while supporting efforts to reform the criminal legal system.

Details

Location: Hybrid - New York, NY or Washington, DC
Full-time (35 hrs/wk) for 10 consecutive weeks
Stipend: $24/hour

The work

Conduct legal research and writing, including memos and court submissions
Assist in factual investigation
Support preparation for court cases, such as depositions and hearings
Collaborate with the team on litigation and advocacy efforts
